Taste of Charlotte - Part II

We had a great time in Charlotte at the Taste of Charlotte Festival and visiting a few of the downtown sites. Here are some photos of residents of Charlotte making and enjoying their favorite foods and music.

Who knew making kettle corn was so dangerous you need a protective mask:

Mini southern red velvet cupcakes, yummy!

The fastest slight of hand magician this side of the Mississippi:

Apparently, no one wanted to ride the bull:

This guy was so bored he was giving himself a hand:

Here is Shingai getting samples of Vampire Hot Sauce:

Authentic Thai food in Charlotte, who knew?

This lady was great:

At the Taste of Charlotte, we caught a local band, whose members could not have been over 15 years old. They really were not good, actually they were downright awful, but the drummer was great. She could hardly see over the skins, but she was rocking out. Look carefully at the picture and you don't even see her, but we promise that she is there.

There she is!

On our way out of town, we quickly stopped by the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

Memorable Quote:
Shingai - "NASCAR and an African are like oil and vinegar, they just don't go together."
